Twirl Away the Winter Blues - Florence Adams

Today I want to share one of my new favorite skirts with you from Florence Adams. It was so fun to style and because it is navy blue, it made it really versatile.  I love the pleats as well, it made it really fun for twirling around.

I love that they have a variety of sizes, which include an extra small.  Many times I will buy a skirt and it won't fit well because their small is still too big, so I LOVE that they have smaller sizes to help accommodate everyone!

My friend Emily asked if she could take pictures with me over the Christmas Break, so we decided to head up to the Utah State Capitol building, it was perfect for showing off how pretty the skirt is.

Outfit Details:  Navy Accordian Pleated Skirt | Cardigan | Striped Shirt | Necklace | Boots

I've also teamed up with Florence Adams to giveaway a $25 gift card to their shop.  To enter head over to my Instagram (@teach.shop.love).

Disclaimer: I received this navy pleated skirt from Florence Adams to review.  All opinions are mine alone. I would never recommend a product to my readers that I didn't truly love and use myself.

Viva Ute Vegas

When Kyle and I heard that the Utes were going to be playing in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl game, we knew we had to go! We were so lucky that Kyle is a student and was able to get us 2 tickets in the student section.  I also was able to buy two more tickets using Mike's account (which originally was for Mike to come with us), but since he was unable to go he gave us the two tickets so that my dad and Thomas could go! It was pretty sweet our seats were on the same row, only 8 seats apart.

My mom and sister love Las Vegas and so we all drove down together, which was a lot of fun.  We stayed at the Treasure Island hotel, which I had never stayed at before, but it was really nice! We drove down after I got off work (what a great way to start Christmas Break) and got there around 8:30.  After we checked in we went walking down the strip and did a little shopping.  We were all pretty tired so we went back to the hotel around 10:30 and just watched TV and went to sleep.

The next morning was another game that Kyle and I had been looking forward to for a long time...the Utah basketball game against Duke! Kyle and I had wanted to go to New York for the game, but decided we probably shouldn't go, and it worked out so we could go to the bowl game. After we lost to Duke last year during March Madness, this game was definitely one we wanted to win.  We woke up that Saturday morning and watched the game in our hotel room.  At halftime we had to leave to head to the bowl game and we ended up following the game for the second half.  We waited in the parking lot during the last minute or so of the game and when we saw we won it was fun to hear so many shouts of excitement throughout the parking lot from other Utah fans!

We were at the game 50 minutes early, but it was a fun atmosphere.  The Utah sections were given flags and pom poms, poor BYU got NOTHING! haha It was a blast! The game started and we ended up scoring 5 touchdowns in the first quarter.  Being there was one of the most exciting moments of my life! Kyle and I kept saying this was almost as good as our wedding day......and seriously we weren't joking! The whole section was freaking out!

My grandma texted us and said we were on TV.  My favorite picture was the moment they caught on camera where I had just jumped into Kyle's arms after one of the touchdowns! I was so happy!

The game got intense the second half when BYU began to score and our offense struggled.  I was getting anxious, but we pulled away with it and I was SOOOOO happy! I was so glad we went to the game.  It was one of the best games I have ever been to.

Poor BYU fans.....oh wait....nope....GO UTES!

Later that evening we went to dinner at the SLS (the hotel Kyle and I stayed at last Fall Break) and then we went to Carlos Bakery (the guy from Cake Boss) and got some dessert.  It was yummy! The next morning we woke up, went to church, and headed back home.  I was so glad we were able to go and it was fun to be there with my dad and brother as well.  Seriously I am so grateful everyday that I married a big Utah fan.  We have so much fun with it and I couldn't imagine it any other way.

Because I Love Sparkles

I love glitter and sparkles and basically everything girly! So when I got this sequin party top from Aro and Company I knew it would be the perfect holiday edition to my wardrobe!

I love how it is subtle with the glitter and not overwhelming. It's the perfect shirt for anyone who wants to get into wearing sparkles without going all out. I also love how easy it is to style. You can dress it down with some jeans, but since I love to dress up I decided to pair it with some skirts. It was so versatile that I couldn't decide on just one skirt, so I ended up styling it with two different skirts.

The first one is the tulle skirt from Sexy Modest Boutique. It made it look so pretty, especially next to the snow.

The second skirt is from Kiss Me Mint. I love the bow in front and the pretty mint color. Also I got it for only $5! I was super excited about that!

If you want the chance to win $25 to Aro and Company, head on over to my Instagram!

Disclaimer: I received this party top free from Aro & Company to review.  All opinions are mine alone. I would never recommend a product to my readers that I didn't truly love and use myself.

Eva Jo Rompers - #howiromp

My mom and I were shopping a few months ago and I found a romper that I thought was really cute. When I tried it on though it didn't fit very well. It looked awkward and I was pretty bummed.
Fast forward a few months and I found Eva Jo Rompers! I immediately fell in love with how cute and comfortable their rompers are. They have a variety of colors, prints and styles. Basically each person can find one they love.

I decided to try the Pink Sylvie Romper and I love it. The sylvie style is perfect for me because I love v necks, especially so I can add a touch of color underneath with a tank top. The bow around the waist is perfect for my love of bows! They also have the Cece style which is a crew neck with contrasting neckline color. The sleeves on the Cece are shorter than the Sylvie as well, but also just as  adorable. Stephanie (the creator of Eva Jo Rompers) said one of her main reasons for creating these rompers were so that women could have a romper that had sleeves.  To learn more about why she created Eva Jo click here.

Every time I wear my romper I can't help but tell Kyle that it feels like I am wearing pajamas! They are so easy to move around in, which makes it great for dressing up while going out to run errands.
There are so many ways to dress these rompers as well. On their website you can see each romper dressed in a different way, which I love. It's nice to have ideas of how to wear the item you've bought. They show you how to dress it up or dress it casual. I decided to throw on a simple cardigan and some cute flats to dress it up a little, but keep it simple!

Seriously everyone needs one of these rompers. If you want a chance to win this romper, head over to my Instagram!

This Is Halloween

I love that Kyle and I met in October because there are so many activities that happen during the fall season.  When we first met we went to Cornbelly's, carved pumpkins, and went to halloween parties together.  It was so much fun and it made me love fall even more than I already did, especially with him by my side. I've never been a big fan of Halloween, but I LOVE fall! So each Fall we have made a tradition to do these same things!

I love doing couples costumes (last year we did cookie monster and a cookie) and since we have Lou this year, I wanted to do a costume that involved him as well.  Honestly I knew that Lou wouldn't do well with a costume, so I decided to just have a costume where he wouldn't actually need one.  Then it hit me! DISNEY! Since we are obsessed with Disney, I thought it would be perfect to do Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto.

I wanted to at least try to get Lou to wear a costume, so one day at Target we found this cute dinosaur costume for $3 and decided, why not? Just like we thought, he wasn't a big fan, but it was so fun! He didn't like putting it on, but I was surprised that once it was on, he didn't hate it as much as I thought. He just walked around and it kept falling off, because he is just too small.  He is so cute though, it didn't even matter.

Isn't he the cutest thing in the whole world?

I love when he sticks his tongue out like this.

This year we carved pumpkins with our friends Matt and Dela Brown.  We met them in our ward and they recently bought a house.  It was fun to hang out with them and see their cute new house!  Kyle and I both suck at carving pumpkins, so we decided to share one together.  We made a frankenstein and I thought it turned out pretty good!  We ran out of time to go looking for supplies, so we just had to make a quick stop at Smith's and get whatever they had in terms of pumpkin carving tools.  The cheapest thing they had included a mini strobe light, it was pretty funny to put it in our pumpkin and see it flashing its many colors.

Man I love this boy so much! Also for details on my cute fall outfit you should check out my previous blog post here.

Are you as impressed as we were with our impressive iphone camera on a timer against the stove selfie? Also, I love that they have a dog! Lou and Max are so fun to see play together.

Three years ago we went to Cornbelly's with some of my friends and I LOVED it! That was right in the middle of when Kyle and I were almost going to date, so it is a fun memory to have.  Last year we went with a smaller group of friends, and had even more fun.  This year we decided to get the same group from the year before and go again.

We had tried to go over Fall Break, but ended up running out of time, so we just went to a haunted house.  It was fun, but a pretty lame haunted house. We are trying to go to different haunted houses, and Castle of Chaos was the only one none of us had gone to, obviously we now know why! haha  Since it didn't take us very long to get through the house, we decided to rent Insidious 3.  It was so much fun and my new favorite scary movie.  It was a blast to watch with this group of friends because we all have the same humor and personalities.  Everyone's comments were so funny, and yet we would all freak out at the same time.

We couldn't stop laughing at this picture.  Leland's shirt just took over!

The day before Halloween we were finally able to go to Cornbelly's.  When we got there we went straight to the haunted houses.  They have one that is actually pretty scary and is our favorite one.  It's cool because half of it is inside and the other half is outside, which is really cool.  Then we went through a few others and then decided to head over to the corn maze.  It was a minion design this year, which made it even better.  I have a thing for animated movies, so of course one of my favorites is Despicable Me.

With the pass we bought, it gave us hot chocolate, kettle corn, and a bunch of other activities.  One of those was the apple blaster, which became the hit of the evening.  It was such a blast! haha See what I did there?! Anyway, they gave you a bucket of apples and then you got to shoot them out of these blasters.  You then got to try and hit different targets.  Sydney got a blaster that shot stronger than any of the others.  It was hilarious to watch.

It was such a wonderful night. I feel so lucky to have the best friends and I love that Kyle and I still hang out with them.  Being married and hanging out with my friends still, has been such an absolute joy!  Until next year Cornbelly's!
