A Little Girl and Her "Pretty Dresses"

When I was a little girl I would tell my mom that I needed to wear "pretty dresses".  If anyone in my family even mentioned me wearing a "dress", I would correct them by saying I only wear "pretty dresses".  I stopped correcting people as I grew up, but the love of "pretty dresses" has definitely stayed with me.

This dress from Modest Pop is one of my new favorites and I think it is perfect for Valentine's Day.  Modest Pop is a great clothing company that sells the cutest modest skirts and dresses.  The one I'm wearing is the Ivy Dress in Magenta.

Styling it was easy because of the simplicity of the dress! I added a white belt and booties for a winter touch! The gorgeous pearl necklace is from Charming Charlie.

This dress was so much fun to do a photoshoot with the amazing Charissa Lee.  We went to the Utah Capitol building and had an absolute blast.  This was the first photoshoot I had done with her, but we clicked instantly. It was one of those moments where you meet someone and just know you were meant to be friends.

I also wanted to take a few pictures of this amazing custom print from Doodling Love.  My friend Bree started this Etsy shop a few months ago and sells the most adorable prints.  She has some serious talent.  I asked her to make me this custom print of the lyrics to the song "Mine" by Taylor Swift.  It is the song Kyle and I danced to at our wedding and I love the words.  I know you are probably thinking how in the world did they dance to such an upbeat song? We had a friend who is an amazing musician slow it down for us and played it live.  It was amazing! Her name is Karlie McKinnon and you should check her new album out on iTunes.

If you want a chance to win $50 to Modest Pop, head over to my Instagram @teach.shop.love for details

Disclaimer: I received this Ivy Dress to review from Modest Pop.  All opinions are mine alone. I would never recommend a product to my readers that I didn't truly love and use myself.
